About 1 1/2 years ago, I was pulled over and charged with 3 felony gun charges because I was carrying a pistol to protect the equipment I was transporting to a business meeting. The equipment was military and law enforcement related products some of which are controlled items. My employer has a federal Firearms license and a Department of Defense contract to sell said equipment to the government, both state and federal. I was found not guilty by a Jury because it was determined that I was in legal possession of the firarm due to employers credentials.

If you were arrested while within the course and scope of your employment doing what was required of you under your job description with your employer where you were arrested and had to defend yourself in a criminal jury trial, under the laws of all states in this country, your employer should be required to reimburse you the legal fees you incurred in defending yourself.
