Is it possible to collect on a lawsuit that involved putting a lien on the house 36 years ago?

I’ve tried to contact the attorney and he has since retired. How would I go about this? I do have the woman’s name but not the address.

I suggest that you consult with an attorney with experience in debt collection matters to try and collect on your 36 year old judgment. The problem that you have is that under the laws of most states in this country a judgment is only good for 10 years if not renewed before that time. As such, unless you have renewed your judgment, it very well may have expired given its age.
