Custom and practice in the business filed is that a supervisor of an employee who has been terminated does not tell any other employee as to why a particular employee was terminated. The reasons are simply not the other employee's business.

As to the law on the subject, if the truth as to why a person was terminated there is nothing illegal about what is said. However, from a business perspective disclosing the reasons to other employees is simply not a good idea.
