Is is illegal to sell items under a pseudonym if all other information is true?

I would like to sell something on craigslist but not share my name with the

It is legal: the law does not mandate that you have to use your proper or legal name in selling an object. It may be a violation of Craigslist's policies--we take no position on  that, not having reviewed them--but as a general matter, it would be legal.
