I am very confused by your question here and wish that you had given more details of this transaction under the collections and debt category.  Generally speaking, a contract is considered much more valid if it is notarized and generally speaking, if both parties are signing then it would have two notarizations on it.  Do you mean a different notary for each of the parties signing?  That should not be a problem at all, especially if the contract was signed separately, meaning not at the same time by each of the parties.  If I have not really helped here please write back with more details.  I will try and give more help.  Good luck.
