Insurance company stopped paying premiums for mortgage.
I receive Social Security disability benefits and the Social Security office itself determined that I was disabled because my doctors did not want to get involved with paperwork, etc. My insurance co.paid benefts on my claim until 12-03-08. Co. now wants a form completed by a physician verifying my total disability, but no doctor made this determination, the Social Security office did. I am still paying a policy for disability and I am disabled, is there anything I can do?

Ask your doctors to complete the form and to state that Social Security has also found you to be disabled.
Social Security is a very difficult agency to deal with and it does not find disability easily.
While its standards for what constitutes a disability can be somewhat different from the test used by private carriers, they are very similar.

The easiest way to deal with this would be to see a new doctor who is willing to do this for you, if the old ones still won't. Now that Social Security has given you disability, the old doctors might not have as much of a problem with this.
The definition of disability, for the purposes of your insurance, might not be the same as Social Security uses, although I'd be surprised if there's a big difference.
