If my husband and I are separated with protection orders against both of us, do I have to let my son see his father or can I wait until the custody issue is resolved?

Whether or not you are required to let you son see his father with respect to the protective orders in place as to you as to your husband and vice versa depends upon whether or not there is any order precluding the father from seeing the son issued by a court in the county and state where you reside.

If the answer is no, then the father should be allowed to see his child. If that is the situation, I suggest that if you do not have a family law attorney representing you in the matter that you have written about that you have him or her assist you in child visitation matters between your spouse and your son.
