Whether or not you have to report to the "ex" the new job that you are receiving depends upon what the current order or orders in effect with child support state. If the orders do not require such notice then you do not. If they do, then reporting is required.
In most states in this country the higher salary of the "ex" will have an impact on the amount that you may ultimately have to pay for child support.
