A lot of bad things can happen.
You are 17 years old. This means that you are now considered an adult for the purposes of the criminal justice system. Your girlfriend is considered a minor and cannot consent to sexual activity.
This means that if anyone finds out about your activities, or if her mom ever decides that she is not happy with you, then charges can be pressed against you. If this happens, you will be arrested and charged as a sexual predator. Even if you are eventually cleared of the charges under a "Romeo and Juliett" theory, the arrest will still remain on your record and could impact your ability to obtain employment later on. It's a horrible ride to take. You may love her and you and her may eventually get married, but if she really loves you, she won't ask you to take this type of risk until she is of the age of consent.
