Good question. If you received a sexually transmitted disease (STD) from a person, possibly you can have a criminal complaint filed against the person who supposedly gave you the disease after you first make a police report about the incident. However, most likely the district attorney's office will decline to file a criminal charge with respect to the matter you are writing about feeling that the matter is more of a civil issue as opposed to a criminal issue.
Given this, you might consider consulting with a personal injury attorney regarding whether or not you have a basis for filing a personal injury lawsuit.
