Ifsomeone got put on probation last month and got arrested for a crime committed in March of 2009, is that a violation of probation?

Since the offense that the individual just got arrested for happened prior to their probation, probably not.  In fact, had they gotten arrested for a crime committed this month I still say it's not a violation -  not at least unless they are convicted.  In my opinion being accused is not a probation violation; being guilty is.
