If police report is not available on first court date, does the case get dropped

I was involved in a car accident and when I went to court the district attorney didnt have the police report so the district attorney told me to come back in 30 days. Should the case be dropped or do I need to go back in in 30 days?

No.  However, you do have a right to a speedy trial.  But, a 30 day continuance will not violate your right to a speedy trial.
