If my fire sprinkler went off and damaged my belongings, should I be charged for this?
My fire sprinkler went off in my apartment and damaged some of my things. I got a bill from my apartment complex. They are trying to say that I caused it to go off hoever I was sleeping when it happened and no one else was in the house.

If you did not cause the damage, you need to have the apartment complex prove the damage was caused by you. Contact the insurance adjuster for the apartment complex, file a written statement and pursue the costs of replacement of your items through that insurance. This should not be on you.
