If you are in the process of settling a claim without the benefit of your insurance carrier, you really should have an attorney draft a full release of all claims known or unknown regarding the incident that a particular person is going to release.
The release needs to be signed by the person who is releasing you and the event leading to the incident needs to be stated with particularity as well as the consideration for the release. Good luck.
