If I post on facebook that I have a job interview, can my current job fire me for the post?

I'm afraid that your employer could fire you for this or any reason. The reason is that most employment relationships are what is known as "at will"; meaning that you can choose to work for an employer or not and an employer can hire or fire you for no reason at all.  Exceptions would be if this action is not allowed by virtue of an employment contract, union agreement, or official company policy statement.  Also, discrimination must not play a role in any termination.
