IfI left my apartment for2 weeks is that called abondement?

My daughter lives in low income housing. She went to jail last week and she will get out in about another week. She’s in on a misdemeanor and the day she left her landlord put a notice of abandonment on her door. She said that she will have to change her locks and put her belongings outside. I know leaving for 2 weeks is not abandonment; living in low income and going to jail on a misdemeanor isn’t cause for getting evicted. The steps they’re taking aren’t legal eviction steps. What can we do?
