What to do if I filed Chapter 7 bankruptcy 4 years ago and I don’t remember signing a reaffirmation lease for my car?

On my credit report it says that my lease closed due to Chapter 7. I lost my job and turned in the car 5 months early (2 years after bankruptcy). Am I responsible for the balance even though its already on my credit as closed?

If you have a concern about this debt, you need to find out what was or was not filed in your bankruptcy case. If a Reaffirmation Agreement was not signed, filed, and approved by the Court then you should still be protected under the Bankruptcy. Meaning any deficiency claim the Creditor may have had against you should have been wiped out under your Chapter 7 Bankruptcy case.
