If I backed into a garage door but they no longer carry that garage door, am I responsible for just the door replacemrnt or do I have to pay for the entire thing?
My apartment complex has garage doors that are no longer carried. They are trying to make me pay for the entire thing to be replaced, not just the door.

You are responsible for whatever it takes to make the injured party "whole" again. That means putting them back in the position they were in prior to the damage. It is unfortunate if the garage door is no longer carried, but if completely repairing the damage requires an entire replacement, that is what you will be legally responsible for.
