If I am out on leave from my job can I work somewhere else?
I am out on leave from my doctors
office. Because of my situation at my
current company being stressed out. I
wanted to know can I work somewhere
else or will it affect my current case
I have against my company.

Legally, you can work elsewhere unless you signed an agreement to not do so--you can work at more than job at the same time, after all, and can work for job 2 while on vacation, on leave, etc. from job 1.
It could affect your "damages," or the amount of compensation, to which you may be entitled. For example: say you are suing for lost wages during, in part, this time period. If you are working elsewhere, what you earn will be an offset against what you could recover, since to the extent you are earning, you are not losing wages now.
