if a medical bill is made before a divorce is filed, are both people responsible to pay

I was hospitalized and while in there my wife moved my belongings out. Shortly after she filed for divorce. Is she responsible for any of the hospital bills?

She is responsible, of course, if she co-signed for, guaranteed, or otherwise indicated that she was taking resonsibility for the bill. But otherwise she is not: your state is not a community property state, and bills incurred during marriage are not the "community" or joint bills of both spouses; rather, they the bills of the spouse who signed for or incurred them.
