What to do about a wrongful termination?

I work as a delivery driver for an independant contractor who contracts for an obernight delvery service. I was disqualified from driving for failure to report an accident, however I did immediatly report it to the contractor at the time. It was he who failed to report the accident to thedelivery service. I have phone records to prove this. Should I seek legal action, if so, what type of layer would be best?

The only question that matters, unfortunately, is whether you had an employment contract. If you did not, you were an employee at will. An employee at will may be terminated at any time, for any reason--even reasons that are unfair or factually incorrect. Therefore, you could be fired under the circumstances you describe.
