What to do if I work at a large apartment complex and residents often move and leave items behind?
They have voluntarily moved and left the items for us to remove. Can I sell or take any of the items left behind? Again this only applies to voluntary move outs not evictions.

If the former tenants simply abandon their possessions upon move out then you need to speak with your employer about the situation of you being able to have such abandoned items. You need to first be sure that the tenants have abandoned the items in a document signed by them and that your employer in a document signed by him or her authorized you to keep the items abandoned as a safeguard for you.
