What can I do if I feel that I was wrongfully fired from my job for misconduct?

I was a Team Lead and advisors were in need of materials needed to do their job as required by the company, so I asked how to order the material and that answer that I received was you and your team is out of luck because of the team leads that came before you. Therefore, I took it upon myself to order the parts and have them shipped to my house but brought them to work the very next day. Basically I feel that there were insufficient resources to do our job and I had to order them. Is this grounds for termination?

The fact is that most employment relationships are "at will". This means that an employee may be fired for any reason or for no reason at all. That having been said, there are exceptions. If your discharge violated an express written agreement (i.e. an employment/union contract, company policy, etc.) or some sort of implied promise, that would constitute wrongful termination.
