What to do if I was fired and the last payday was almost 3 weeks ago but I have yet to receive my final paycheck?

I have called twice requesting they send it to me but to no avail. Am I obligated to go in and pick it up myself or are they responsible for mailing it to me?

You are not obligated to pick it up. In some states, your last and final paycheck must be given to you when you leave on your last day. In other states, your last paycheck could be mailed to you when the next pay period comes around, but no longer than usually 10 days or so. If it has been three weeks (literally 21 days), you will need to file a complaint and claim with the labor department, and inform your unemployment counselor, as well, because there may be penalties involved for the company's failure to pay you.
