Assuming you have a final dissolution decree with an order confirming such by the court, there is a possibility that even after the passage of 5 years the dissolution decree could be amended.
One way to amend it is if your former spouse is willing to sign a stipulation allowing the amendment of the provision that you desire. If that is not an option, you will have to file a petition to do so. Given the fact that you did not state what portion you want amended, I suggest that you consult with a family law attorney to assist you regarding the amendment issue that you have written about.
