What to do if I was assaulted and threatened on the job by a fellow employee over the quality of his work?

Upon being assaulted I informed my foreman and was suspended for a week. I’m pressing charges on the employee but I’m not sure what other actions I can take. What if I lose my job?

Since you were suspended after advsing your foreman that you were assaulted and threatened at work you need to consult with a labor attorney and/or a representative with your local department of labor to document the incident involving you and another employee and follow their advice as to what legal recourse you have.

From what you have written, the way the incident was handled at work is not in accord with proper protocol with respect to employee employer relations in this country.
