The Sheriff still tries to search me and my home. They say I am still in their computers . How do I check on this? Where do I go to make sure their computers are updated.

You need to get confirmation, that your probation is over and that your waiver has expired, in writing.  Once you do that, you need to walk a copy of that paperwork over to the sheriff's office, and then mail another copy to them certified mail, return receipt requested.

If you have any trouble getting this done, you should have a lawyer help you out. One place to find a local attorney who can work with you on this is our website, http://attorneypages.com

Sometimes, law enforcement gets sloppy, and they tend to look down their noses at ex-offenders and not worry too much about doing everything the right way.  That usually stops pretty quickly, when they know that there's a lawyer watching them.
