What to do if I sponsored a bus trip using a bus company that I used in the past but we were less than satisfied and are requesting a refund?
I have asked the bus company for the refund $500 to give each of the passengers a $20 refund as they requested. The company cut me a check for $200 which is less than half of what I requested and the passengers are not happy. They want their refund. Can I sue the bus company for the $500 or more?

If you cashed the check already and disbursed the funds, you are stuck. Cashing a check without protest is tantamount to acceptance as final payment or considered as a contractual accord and satisfaction. If you have not cashed the check, then you are free to sue. However, keep in mind the court may go somewhere in the middle. Look at your contract and see if there is a satiafaction contingency in the contract. If there is, you may be able to get your money back without court.
