What too do if I signed a 1 year contract with my landlord but after 5 months they sold my home to another “agency” that is now telling me my original contract is void?

But I haven’t herd anything from the old owners from the court or anything about my original contract being annulled. Now the new owners are telling me I have to sign a new contract that changes the rent and security deposit so I have to pay more. Also, I did not find out about the new management until after the fact nor did I hear from old owners.

Under the laws of all states in this country your lease with the sold unit comes with the property where the new owner and landlord is obligated to honor the terms of your agreement until it terminates. Do not sign any new agreement. The new landlord is bound to the lease you signed with the former owner.
