You will be sued for breach of contract if you just "get out" of the contract without valid grounds for terminating the contract.
Was there fraud?  Does the contract viiolate a statute?  These are only a couple of examples which may warrant terminating the contract.  Without knowing the specific reason your husband wants to "get out" of the contract, it is not possible to determine whether or not such action is justified.  Even if  the action is justified, you will still be sued for breach of contract, but may have an applicable defense.
