If I was recently involved in an accident in which a car sideswiped me but I didn’t realize that I had been hit until I got home, can I be charged with any sort of hit and run violation?

Because you are the one that got hit, you are not liable as a defendant, you are the alleged victim of the offense.  You can file a claim on your insurance. You can also file a complaint with law enforcement.  Your other option is to simply make the repairs our of your own pocket.
The safest practice is to let law enforcement know now so that in the event the other driver tries to say that you were at fault, that you have make the call to document the cause of the damages.
