If you were never arrested and the charge or charges against you were dismissed (not prosecuted) you do not have per se a criminal record over what you have written about. However, such a criminal charge is a public record at this point in time which could have a negative impact upon you later on via a background check. I suggest that you consult with a criminal defense attorney in your locality about "sealing" your file. Such an attorney can be found on attorneypages.com.
