What to do if I received a call from a debt collector stating I owed on a loan from 2 years ago but refused to give me information as to what it is about?
Is It my right to obtain this infor from the original source before I agree to pay anything? Is it appropriate to serve court documents without me knowing what the debt is?

If you received a telephone call from a debt collection company concerning a debt you supposedly owe, you are entitled for all information concerning such to make an informed decision as to whether you owe it or not and to act accordingly.
If yo get served with court documents conerving such a debt, most likely the pleadings will allege with some specificity as to what the debt is about.
