When you buy a house, what is included?

I purchased a home that closed about 2 months ago. I received a letter today stating that the items the previous owner left in the home i.e. fridge, desk, chair, deck stain that they want $600 for them or they will come and get them. Do I have to let them have them? I was told after closing of the home that anything left in the home belonged to the new home owner.

What is included is anything in the written contract of sale as included in the transaction if it was not in the contract, then it is not included. So if you don't have it in the contract that you should keep any item, you should either let them get it, or else pay for it if it's worth it to you to pay.
