I am looking at personally purchasing a car that my son will be driving. Again the car will be purchased personally and not through the LLC and will be driven for his benefit and not used for any company benefit.

The LLC is responsible for acts of negligence by the LLC.  It is not responsible for actions that are unrelated to the business.
