What to do if I owned a restaurant that closed an the landlord changed the locks in the middle of my getting my things out and posted a handwritten notice?

The lease ran out years ago and we never signed a new one. I was in the process of cleaning and getting my things when the posted a sign of siezing the equipment and changed locks.

I think that you know that the landlord probably did not properly serve you or give you any notice for what he was doing.  Do you owe rent?   Did you give proper notice of leaving? You can go to landlord tenant court and start an action against the landlord but it may be best for you to try and work things out.  Good luck.
