What will a power of attorney allow me to do?
My mother is appointing me POA. I have the forms and the notary available. Once it’s done I know that I must register the paperwork. Will it allow me access to her banking services so that I can pay her bills?

There are two types of Power of Attorney forms. There is a General POA which allows you toact in all capacities (although a POA can not make a Will for the person for whom they are appointed) and a POA for a specific purpose, like closing on a house. Read the form. It usually allows you to check specific items or leave blank and it is understoood that it is for a general purpose. Good luck.
