If I need my last paycheck and payday is this Friday, is there a law stating that my employer has 72 hours after I quit to issue me my check?
I was in senior management with this company and know they have caused problems for other associates receiving their last paycheck.

If they fired or terminated you i.e. the timing was under their control, they should pay you on your last day. If you quit, so they did not decide the timing, it appears that you have to send them a written request by certified mail return receipt for the check, and they then have 7 days to respond to that request.
