Is it legal for a business to only hire female bartenders?

I live in Arizona and I recently went to apply for a job. The job posting is for a bartender position. I drove the 20 minute drive to get to the place, walked in with my friend. I told them I was there to talk to the manager about a position I saw on craigslist. They looked at me and said, we are sorry but we are looking for a female bartender and would not even let me speak to the hiring manager. They told me they had already turned away 4 people because they were male. Is this some kind of discrimination, especially since the add had no reference to male or female? Is there some kind of case here?

Yes, this is legal, just like it is legal for Hooters to hire only female cocktail waitresses.  However, they should have specified in their ad that they were hiring a female bartender.
