Under the laws of all states in this country if you have quit your position with your last employer, he or she is required to pay you what is owed without any debits for any "personal time off" (PTO). However, once your final pay check is paid, your employer can bring a legal action against you for the amount that you have been overpaid with respect to your negative PTO.
