If I have temporary guardnship of my nephew, how do I make it permanent?

What are my rights now? His mom lives with my dad in a 2 BR trailer with her boyfriend and new baby. The boyfriend keeps and smokes weed at the house. She has no job and no education.

In order to make the temporary guardianship that you have over your nephew permanent, you will need to file a petition with the court where the temporary guardianship order was issued seeking a more permanent status and the reasons for such a request. I suggest that you consult with a family law attorney to assist you in the endeavor.
