If you have no collision coverage on your policy and the other driver has no insurance, you can try getting the money directly from the driver.  My guess is that if he's uninsured, he can't afford to pay you for the damages to your vehicle, but you can always try suing him in small claims court.  You might get a judgment, but I'm guessing you would have a difficult time collecting on it.
