What to do if I have an old bench warrant from when I lived in another state?

I failed to appear and they issued a default warrant. It was for an assault but the alleged victim is not pressing charges (or would be a witness for me). She is my wife. Can I have her call to drop charges or should I show up at the court with her early in the day?

Given the bad situation that you have written about concerning an old bench warrant issued in another state where you resided, the best way to resolve the problem is for you to consult with a criminal defense attorney in the county and state where the warrant was issued and try and get him or her to resolve the issues regarding the warrant.
