What to do if I have a property in foreclosure but the Writ of Execution expired so they cancelled it?

It has been in sheriff sale 2 years. What happens next? Why would it have been allowed to expire?

The likely reason why the writ of execution with respect to your property expired without actual proceedings to levy with respect to the foreclosure matter that you have written about is because the lender most likely has too much of an inventory of foreclosed homes and did not want to add another one with attendant costs to the foreclosure portfolio.
