Probably not; typically the DMV does not perform any type of warrant search. That having been said, while it probably will not turn up, it could. Different states have different procedures. The fact is that you really need to clear this up. Warrants do not expire, so you will have to worry about this indefinitely and that's no way to live. As I said, it might run up at the DMV but it will definitely turn up in a traffic stop, most employment background checks and for other things. Right now, you should consult with an attorney who practices in the area of where the warrant was issued; they can best advise you further.
