What to do about defective siding on my house?

I had siding installed on my new home 7 years ago. Our general contractor hired the siding company. The finish is coming off of the aluminum products after I cleaned them. The siding contractor refuses to fix the defective materials. He said it is the manufacturer that warranties the materials he installed. Who should I hold responsible?

Based upon what you have written about, the manufacturer, distributor, the sub-contractor and the general contractor all have ultimate responsibility for products defect as to the defective siding of your home  under the laws of all states in this country.

I suggest that you consult with an attorney experienced in construction defects law for assistance.
