If I had a day for FMLA pending with my employer and know that you have 15 days to get the medical certification in, can an employer deny the pending day before the 15 days is up?

The employer can deny the pending FMLA application before the certification requested but runs the risk that the denial could be rescinded pending the approval of the FMLA medical certification. Should such happen to you I suggest that you have a face to face meeting with your employer about the matter.
