So even if you went to court and showed that the car was registered, it would be after the fact and the ticket would still stand and you would have to pay it. That is because it was not registered on the day the ticket was issued. So yes, you can just pay it. But you will run the risk that you will continue to get tickets because it is not registered. You can, though, sell it or donate it before it is regsitered. Just take the plates off when you do it. Good luck.
