If I got a citation for loitering and drinking in public, what will the fines or charges likely be and what is the best way to handle this so my record will stay clean?

It was the 4th of July and I was in a park setting off fireworks. I have no previous criminal record. This is my first time ever getting tickets.

Loitering is part of a disorderly conduct charge and drinking in public is most likely public intoxication. Were you given a ticket to appear and pay a fine? In Georgia, disorderly conduct is a misdemeanor, and penalties include a fine of up to $1,000, up to one year in jail, or both. Please take what you got to a lawyer to review.
