I am so sorry for your loss.  When you say that you financed a car do you mean that the deceased person held the loan?  Aside from the particulars of the transaction which may or may not be relevant here, the fact that the person did not have a Will does not matter.  A person has an "estate" whether or not they have a Will. And you are obligated to their estate after they pass away.  Good luck.
